Ingredients
- 3 to 4 pounds boneless pork country-style ribs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large onion
- 1/2 cup apple juice
- 16 to 18 ounces favorite BBQ sauce (1 1/2 cups)
Directions
- Lightly grease the crock pot
- Trim and wash pork ribs, pat dry with paper towel
- Put sliced onions on the bottom of the pot
- Season ribs with salt, pepper, brown sugar, garlic. Rotating to season all sides
- Place pork ribs on top of onions
- Pour apple juice over the ribs
- Cover and cook on low for 8-9 hours. Drain liquids from pork
- Pour BBQ sauce over the ribs. Cover and cook for 1 additional hour
*Note* – I would suggest to pour the apple juice over the onions first. By pouring it over the pork after it has been seasoned, it “washes” the seasonings off the pork.
