- Tama-Toledo – Each summer, the annual Stoplight Festival takes place on the town square. The celebration surrounds the historic stoplight located at the intersection of High Street and Broadway.
- Chelsea – Chelsea lies along the original Lincoln Highway route which was America’s first “coast-to-coast” highway. The original steel bridge on the Lincoln Highway in Chelsea was replaced in 1928-29 with the Otter Creek Bridge, which in turn had to be replaced in 2007.
- Belle Plaine – Belle Plaine went through some major events. There were train wrecks, fires, and a runaway well in 1886. The city hired a contractor to drill a well on the south side of town and this event became famous all over the world. This out of control well became known as Jumbo.
- Marengo – Marengo is the County Seat and home to the award winning Compass Memorial Healthcare clinic and hospital; the Iowa County court house; Gateway Park and Reserve; the Marengo Public Library – a Carnegie library; is part of the scenic Byways Tour; and has an industrial business park on the Interstate Railroad line, which provides access to ALL North America markets by rail.
- Amana – The Amana Colonies are a great place to have a festival or special event. We have many during the course of a year, some we organize and put on while others come from all over to have their event in the Colonies. Our 26,000 acres of land allows us to accommodate a variety of events with sites in the villages and some just outside.
- Oxford – Oxford’s downtown district has a variety of small businesses including two hair salons, an antique shop, an eclectic vintage venue, women’s clothing boutique two photography studios and full-service auto shop. Oxford also is home to First Trust & Saving’s Bank, American Legion Post 537, and Masonic Lodge Canopy #290.
- Coralville – Coralville is the location of the Edgewater Park Site, a 3,800-year-old archaeological site along the Iowa River. Edgewater is the oldest site in Iowa with evidence of domesticated plant use.
