We recently got a new TV our main viewing room. We got the Samsung 5 Series 46in TV. Out of the box, it was not color calibrated correctly. But a few tweaks and an internet search for the optimal settings made the picture great.
The Blu-ray/DVD play back is great. Vivid colors, very nice over all performance. The cable play back is typical with a poor cable from the provider and very new HD channels, but very similar to your Sony Bravia. The Bravia has been moved to upstairs and will be in you living room.
Might have to adjust the colors/picture again, will need some time to do that.
I do not mind that it is lacking on the Internet Connectivity applications, because the appleTV and BuRay player makes up for it and I do not see a reason to have all the internet apps on a TV when other devices attached to it have the ability. But I do see it being usefully if you only had the TV and no other devices attached to it.
Overall 5 out of 5 for me on the TV.
