I recently got the Logitech Harmony One Universal Remote. Setup was easy as cake. It does take some time to setup though, but it is worth the front end setup time of the remote for the benefits after the setup. I originally had the Harmony 720 remote, so initial setup was actually very quick. Within the software, I was able to replace the remote and all my devices/buttons…etc were downloaded automatically to the new Harmony One remote.
I have also setup the Favorite Channels on the remote, and it is a great feature to have setup. I have initially setup 6 favorite channels to see how it works, and it works great. You can assign an image that will display on the touch-screen display instead of just the number or the channel name. Very cool feature and I will sure to add more channels later down the road. It looks like you can have a total of 48 favorite channels (8 screens of 6 images/channels).
Logitech does not license the images/logos for TV stations so you will have to find them yourself online. I have gotten mine from the sites of the TV networks and also from this site.
I do hate that the battery life sucks, only about 7-10 days. If you remember to put the remote in the charger about every few days, it will not be a problem with the remote being dead the next time you watch TV. I recommend having the remote charger on a side table or by the TV so when you are done watching TV, you can put the remote in the charger.
Over all, this is one the best universal remotes that I have ever used.
